Got out with Danny LaMontagne in a frog strangler on Sunday. My gear is still drying out! The finds of the day for me were the 1740's Prussian King Frederick II Heller and my very first fatty, an 1863 Indian. Also scored my nicest escutcheon plate, two large caliber musket balls, iron chape and a dated suspender buckle. It was a great day and Danny nailed some fantastic finds too! Seriously, my gloves haven't dried out yet and they have been in the sun for two days.6323063231632326323363234632356323663237

I don't know about out-hunting you Dan. If that happens it's a rare occasion. You pulled it out with another Bullwinkle at the end and got that rare Badge. :envious: That's funny! My wife said the same thing about me hunting in the rain. Get better soon. We got relics to recover this weekend. I think the Moose will be out again! :lolsign:

Nice hunt! Don't recall seeing a Heller dug before. Love the patina on that escutcheon plate.

I love when some of the coins and relics come out of the ground with that hard, dark green, patina. It makes cleaning them so much easier and the eye appeal is stunning. The obverse of my Heller is not too bad. Here's a screen shot of what the reverse would like if it was in a little better shape.63238

Thanks! I actually like the escutcheon the best because it has that deep, dark green, patina and it was hand engraved by a colonist.

Update: It's a Friedrich I 1742 One Heller. I made a mistake in the original post by stating it was a Frederick II.
