Its been some weeks since I last went MDing, so I went to my wife's Aunt's house, which was built mid 1600s. I've detected the yard years ago and found many flat buttons in the garden. Today, I went back into the woods which were farm fields long ago. No buttons surprisingly, but found a part of a pewter spoon, a fork, musket ball. What I believe is a Braided Hair LC, 1892 indian, but he best find was a baby's Gold ring. no Karat stamp so I'm gussing it's old, at least as old as the coins 1800s. It has a nice pinkish yellow color. Inside the ring is either the maker's mark or the babies initials. CE or CB. I have few more acres to go, so I'll be heading back soon!

Nice hunt! But unfortunately that ring looks plated by the chipping and flaking, which is why there's no karat stamp. Still a cool find!.

Still a nice bunch of finds even if the ring turns out to be plated. I would take a Large Cent any day!
