After all of the rain we had I went back to an old site of mine that has produced many firsts, 1663 Cob, Fugio, Cuff Links as well as a lot of buttons.

The site is on a slight rise & is always dry as a bone as the water runs down the slope. Well the rain really soaked in & was able to nab 2 keepers.

Wow 1744! Amazing you can still read the date. Seems like that's always the first thing to go. LOL.

Thanks! I've pulled a lot of coins from this site and I think only 2 of them didn't have a date.

Nice mid-date KG2! And fortunately the only legible lettering left is the date! I'm envious of all the open ground cellar sites you guys have down there in southern New England. Up here I'm lucky to find 1 in 10 that look like that - most are grotesquely overgrown.

Some great finds, Roger! I think John has a false impression as to the openness of our cellar holes
Mostly never find 'em looking that inviting.
