No work for me today so took the equinox 800 and mx pro. had a good time, found a few pennies one dime one nickel one mercury dime 1945 one 1903 liberty v nickel as best I can tell. one holy figure a thimble which is some thing I’ve wanted to find. Then went over the same area with the mx pro I’m getting more depth with the mx pro found about 3 more pennies but the discrimination and pin pointing is way better on the 800 I’ve turned the sweep speed down but still feel I’m only getting 5 or 6 inches max the thimble was barely picked up. Any one no how to squeeze more depth of the 800.

:) I love to find old cornet lyres...must have been a band playing there.
I use the nox 600 and have no issues with depth. I've not used the mx pro so i don't know if that is deeper.
The 600 is deeper than my T2 at most sites. They seem equal at very mineralized places...it sounds like your site is mineralized. Congrats on a bunch of keepers!

Great finds! I think my Etrac goes deeper than the EQX. But it's probably not.

Nice pile of finds! As for differences, the only way to tell would be equivalent settings on the machines and run them in a test plot to compare them.

Running a test is a great idea. Thanks to all for replying, I definitely like the nox better.

I did the same thing last week and just took 2 days off to do some swinging. Nice finds. WD
