Here are my finds from the past couple of weeks. I got out on October 27 to some farm fields and again on November 4 to a couple of private yards in town.

The highlight of my recent finds was this sterling silver "Son In Service" ring that a mother would wear to signify that she had a son serving in the war. I found one exactly like it on the internet and the dealer listed it as WWI era but I think it is most likely from WWII. It originally had red, white and blue enamel on it.

Out of the same yard came this P&O farm implements watch fob. P&O was bought out by International Harvester in 1919 so this fob probably predates that. It cleaned up well, it might have been nickel plated originally. Interesting that it has a bare breasted woman on it.

I found this medallion in a farm field where an old house used to be. It says, "COUNTY COURT - SUPREME COURT OF HONOR" and has the date 1900 on it. The back is blank.

Some cool stuff! Like that fob, and the ring is a pretty unusual find too. Nice looking O Barber too. Could that be a pestle with the white marble in it?

That's a bicycle bell, upside down. :) The white marble was in a hole with a Wheat Cent.

Nice finds Tony. Too bad the enamel inlay never survives in those old sterling doodads from WW2. Still a very attractive ring though. The bare breasted lady on the fob reminds me of the lady on the original SLQ in 1916. Good to see you posting. Best wishes and happy hunting, Dave.

That is an awesome ring. I have never seen one before. I dug this small locket years ago and always thought it would have been used for a similar purpose as your ring, perhaps for a sweetheart or wife. 65482

Great history lesson on the watch fob and the Barber dime looks to be in great shape. And I always love that patina on the wheaties when they're the same color as an Indian head penny.

Great bunch of finds Tony. That ring is a lot like that one I found at the courthouse in Ohio.
Very rewarding hunt. :congrats:

It’s a white marble that I found in a hole with a wheat cent.

Really solid finds Tony, and quite the neat variety! Love your assortment, though the watch fob ranks among the best of those finds imo. Just really cool. Nice to see you get an O mint mark on the Barber also. I recall you stating your apprehension of door knocking in some of your older vids. Are you doing more of that now?
