Visiting An Old Permission

Went out to one of our old permissions on a warmer overcast day. We ended up having a pretty good day, Diane found two tokens, a decorative lid and a buckle. I got a star studded clip, double bitted axe head, cobbler’s shoe form for a child size shoe a Goodyear Rubber button. I got a repeatable signal on my Deus and dug which at first thought was going to be a pull tab but with a bit more removing some dirt I had a suspicion so I went over to Diane to show her and put a bit of water on it she said “Think its a Trime” which confirmed my suspicions! It is very small, it is very Silver, it is very bent and I am very happy!

Great finds Tony. You and Diane did very well. Funny how the plow can still manage to hit something as tiny as a trime! Best wishes and happy hunting, Dave.

Congrats on the wonderful finds, Tony and Diane! :clapping:

Do you think the Trime was bent that way intentionally? I have read that when men were going away for a while, to war or whatever, they would bend a coin like that and give it to their wife as a way to remember them. The coin would be bent as a reminder not to spend it accidentally. I'm not 100% certain that is the case with your Trime but it is a possibility.

I like the star-studded clip too. It looks really old.

:congrats:

Nice hunt. Was the rubber button an eyeball find or did the detector hit on the small metal piece embedded in the back?

Very nice finds Tony. I have to agree that how does a plow find that tiny piece of silver and then manage to position it just so to bend it????
