So I was able to get out to the golf course. Was able to do the lots that relatives have purchased and also went to my favorite copper field.

Got copper number 33 from the copper field and its a 1600's French Liard. Managed some flat buttons, One has a design and the shank.

Also managed the largest hand forged nail or the smallest hand forged spike....don't know which way to go on this one.:dontknow:

A couple .348 shells also.

Got a 1942 Merc and some wheats plus a badge of some sort.

Thanks for reading and HH everyone.

Those are some great finds Al! I've found quite a few nails around that size. Makes me wonder what they were holding together.

That French Liard is a wonderful find, Al! It's very unusual to find a coin from the 1600s here in The States! It definitely has enough detail to identify it. Awesome! :thumbsup02:

Really nice hunt Al! Have you found other 1600s coins in the past? You certainly live in the right place. I've only heard of one being found around these parts.
