Alec, Noah and I drove out to Connecticut to meet up with Del & Donnie B for a field hunt this past Saturday. We drove 14 hours straight through to the field, so needless to say we were pretty spent when we got there. Fortunately it was raining so that woke us up pretty fast. We only spent a few hours at the field. although there was a Large Cent dug, it wasn't dug by me.
I did manage a couple of buckles. I have no idea if they are old, but I included them in the photo.

The rest of the week we door knocked, Man was it tough! didn't get many yesses, but we did get a few at 1700s houses. I will be putting up another post with my coin finds.

I know nothing about these buttons other than I think they are old!

Nice start Don. Man you're the trooper driving all that way right into a hunt! Nice late 1700s/early 1800s flatties to start you off.

Looks like you did well in the early button category Don! I love the hand-carved designs on those colonial buttons! Looking forward to see your other finds. I hope you shot lots of video clips too. HH, Dave.

Way to start out Don! Maybe Noah needs to work on that East coast accent for his door knocking charm to work? Cant wait to see what you guys sniff out next!

I texted Dan yesterday hoping you guys were still around but you weren't. I hope you had a fun time while you were here. I'll look for your coin post.

We had a great time, sorry we missed you. We had to cut it a little short due to some problems at work that I had to get back and take care of. Dan had another hunt for us on Thursday that we had to miss. I hope he did well there!!
Dan is a true ambassador to this hobby, He always goes out of his way to make visitors feel welcome!!!

Nice collection of buttons. Next to finding a nice coin, buttons always run a close second.

We just don't find buttons like those here in Illinois. I bet it was fun finding relics that are exotic to the Midwest. Very nice!
