With all of the rain we've had this spring half of the fields are planted and half aren't. Good for me, bad for the farmer, my new permission still isn't planted. So I went out today for about 5 hrs. Got a '44 wheatie at the first site I hit. After about 3 1/2 hrs I went across the road to another home site in another field. This site I've nicknamed "The Vets home" the newest dated item I've found at this site is a 1867 IHC. I found a "Eagle I" button here and a couple of largies. Tonight I found my 3rd ever, Civil war store card token! Not only that, it's a George Washington bust "Union for Ever" variety!

It a 1863 Tony. Yeah, I've never seen this one before either. You can imagine my surprise when I seen a penny sized and colored coin after getting a quarter/dime reading.:confused:

Figuring it was going to be wheatie. Yet another huge surprise when I wiped away the dirt and seen ol' Georgie Porgy staring back at me :shocked05:

And as many items I've seen cleaned , not cleaned , talked about cleaning methods, I'm not sure how to go about cleaning it. You can seen in the pictures that the patina is already starting to come off. :crying01:

Nice piece of history, Tim. I've yet to find an identifiable CW token. Looking forward to seeing it cleaned up! :wow:
