Hey everyone,
My last post (where I THOUGHT I had a Hibernia) and this one look comically similar. First pic is this week's finds. I'm fairly certain the copper is a 1720s Hibernia. 10 inches too...using only 5 kHz. I find I'm choosing specific frequencies at pounded sites....then only double checking targets in multi-frequency mode.

The corn is as high as an elephant's eye, summer is coming to a close :girlcry:

Congrats on the Hibernia Drew . That's the first dug one I've ever seen on a forum . I looked them up , in
good condition they can be worth a bit . Is it a Half penny or a Farthing ?

Nice one Drew! The surface is a but rough like a Rosa might be, but either or, its an oldie for sure.

Continually amazed. I've got to get out there. Indian pennies aren't doing it for me any more!

Thanks, George, Tony, Noah, Jeff, and calabash,
...I think you nailed it, Jeff! I measured the diameter and it is 26mm like the Rosas...not 22mm like the Hibernias. You're getting in Dan's league now

Yep, looks like a Tudor rose Drew. Nice find. If I was in Dan's league, I would only be the bat boy.

Although I just found a Hibernia that's 26.7mm, spot on....and I think I can see the harp on top of my reverse pic.

Hmmmm, you could be right ! But if I stare at it long enough I can also see a chicken hawk with a shield on its breast .
