I got out this morning with Dave in Iowa for some treasure hunting.

The ground didn't want to give up much silver today, but I was able to pull just one from it's grip. This dime leaves me just 5 short of my goal of 50 for the year. :clapping:

I'm still trying to figure out what the brooch looking item is. Seems a little too heavy to wear on a shirt or dress. It appears to be made of lead with a heavy duty pin on the back. The compact on the right of it is about the size of a Morgan dollar... so the brooch item is slightly larger than that.

It was a nice day to be swinging coils with a fellow treasure hunter.

Great finds!!

Could that be a belt buckle instead of a brooch?

Hey, nice finds. That item on the left is a horse rosette. It covers the ring on the side of the horse's bridal that would catch sticks and branches if you ride through the woods. Nice find. It would have probably been silver plated. Nice compacy too!!

My silver count is at just a measley 4 coins. All dimes. Im not very good at this yet. I dont understand terms like span or wrap or advanced digging settings on my V3I update, but ill just keep going and well see what happens.

Don't know those terms either. :dontknow:

I'm still getting the hang of it too, but if it sounds good..... dig. :)

Things will click soon. You might be just one hole away from a real treasure!!
