Hi all,
Got out to a cellar hole yesterday morn and a park this morn. About 90min each, until my water was gone. It still amazes me how New England can be a frozen tundra then a bug infested jungle in a matter of weeks
The cellar hole-
Pewter shoe buckle frame, two wheats, cuff button, dateless car.

The park-
Two buffs, 1853 arrows seated dime.

Does your car make you look like you're a homeless person with all the equipment?
Thanks!!

you did well for short hunts.

Thanks, Todd...I'm lucky to be near some productive sites.
The amount of time I want to stay out dropped considerably when I switched from the T2 to the Nox. I've put a counter weight on it and shortened the rod, but it still tires me. Thanks again!

You have a mycologically artistic eye Drew. Is that a hemlock varnish shelf? And why do you hunt with 2 pinpointers? And where is your dirty covid mask? What kind of boots are those?

1 Jeff, You and my wife (not in that order) are the reason I take pics of fungi... yep, it's Hemlock Varnish Shelf, she calls them Reishi. I guess you can eat them, but they'd definitely change the name if they were restaurant popular. Who the heck would want to eat Hemlock Varnish?
2 I have four pin-pointers. None of which can consistently be relied upon to do their job. If one happens to be working, I use it.
3 I took a skunking at a land trust the other day. There were actually people walking on the paths. Sadly, I was the only one wearing a mask. The sites in this post were very isolated. :thumbsup01:
4 The boots are my super power! Cool in the summer, warm in the winter, dry all year. I'll PM you.

Thanks Drew. Yeah I guess might be more edible when you call them by their fancy name. But bleh, not very appetizing to look at. Good for you for having your mask with you just in case you run into people.

Love that seated! I use Muck boots when I'm in the fields...so comfortable and reliable. I love mushrooms, my kids and I pick morels, chanterelles and sometimes boletes. Great hunts!

Thanks, Jared! I never liked mushrooms. Maybe it's the consistency, but as a pizza lover I pass up mushroom pizza.
Yeah, Muck boots, or at least the one pair I've ever had, are perfect. :thumbsup01:

You continue to amaze me with you results, Drew! I look forward to your posts as they always contain unusual and amazing finds.

That seated dime is wonderful! How terrific to find a coin like that in a park. :notworthy:

"Dateless car"

Nice finds for a couple short hunts. Love the seated!! As for the car, smells more than looks more like a homeless person (especially after a hot day). I agree with Milco, wife says my car smells like sweaty dirt.
