Hello Friends,
Here is some of the buckles I found (I'm still cleaning the others) in Bavaria. The bottom left and far right are 1500's while the rest are 1700's. The buckle on the right is the male half of a two-piece "marriage" buckle. The pics show how the two halves go together. These are not parts of the same buckle though. I just happen to find a female half last year when I went to Bavaria.

Aren't they beautiful?! Wow, just look at that patina! You have really learned how to properly clean and preserve relics while you are over there. Just think what you will be able to do with harmonica reeds when you come back Stateside! :lol:

I’m so happy to see so much history in private hands. I hope when you return to the states you open up your own little museum. I hope us in the forum get a discount rate!

Beautiful buckles and I have never seen one of those "marriage" buckles before.
