I dug this beautiful Celtic fibula on the first day of my Bavarian trip. This is the second one I have found and dates to 3rd century B.C.

Must be nice to just forget to mention a 2300 yr old find
That's AMAZING...and your 2nd one.
Did you envision, before you left, your German trip would turn out THIS successful in finds?

I don't know what is more remarkable.....that very cool find or as Drew mentioned, your ability to forget about it. ;) I wonder how they wound that iron into a coil?

Congrats on the 2300-year-old safety pin! ;)

Seriously, that is a monumental find, Dave! I know how excited TerraGermania gets when he finds a fibula. They are such personal and historic items. Your own personal museum is shaping up nicely!
