Got out with Frank yesterday to some new spots.

The 2nd site of the day was the only one that produced any coppers. Nabbed a CT as well as a copper that was all smoothed out & had an initial carved into it. Unfortunately this site was not on any map so no idea who used to live there to ID the carved copper.

We went to one site that had a nice stone lined foundation but the site was totally quite. No signals at all. Had to keep checking my headphones to see if they were turned on. Some stones had quarry marks on them around the site, so I'm guessing the
foundation was dug, lined and then abandoned.

Congrats on your finds and the CT copper. Interesting how the B was carved on the coin. I've never seen a B written like that but it's pretty cool.

Wow, 2 copper days are rare feats :notworthy: Is that a B carved out...and they didn't finish?
How long you and Frank been a team now? Seems like a decade at least.
I grew up down your way. I retire soon, one day when I'm down visiting relatives I hope to hunt a park or something with you guys.
Huge congrats, Roger!

Thanks! What I like about it is that someone a long time ago did that so it's a very personal item. If it could only talk I'd love o hear the stories it could tell.

Thanks Drew! Yea, the coin was smoothed out and then carved. I wish I knew who lived there so I could attribute it to the owner. Perhaps they started making a love token and then it got dropped & lost.

I've known Frank for 10 years now. We originally met on FMDF, I went back to my old posts there & see our 1st hunt was 7/22/10.

It's great to have a partner like that! Do you guys see each other outside detecting? I used to have a serious detecting partner, we saw each other everyday for five or six years, my wife was getting jealous...but alas, we broke up
I cherish the scores of hunts Dan and I had...they were like playing lessons in golf. I've also been fortunate to have multiple hunts with many forum members but distance and circumstance prohibit forming a team.

We live about an hr away from each other but we have gone out to dinner with the wives in the past, but now with covid, we haven't gone out other than to detect.
