Since my last post I've been keeping up with my regular daily hour-long hunts. So many relics! I feel so fortunate to hunt these places. That church was built in 1814 and is the 3rd church on that site!!!
That late 1700s chape looks like the mold broke??
Thanks for looking!!

You could find anything there. Nice hunts. What a relaxing way to go making room every day for an hour.

What an interesting group of relics, Drew! It looks like you found the mouthpiece for a large brass musical instrument like a trombone or tuba. The Conestoga bell is a nice find too. Congrats of the super old late 1600s shoe buckle! Wonderful!

:congrats:

With all of those targets you would think an old coin would show up too. Perhaps you already got the coins? Interesting relics for sure.

Thanks, everyone!

Good eye, Tony...that's an early 20th century CONN-Innes low brass mouth piece.

Yeah, Jared...since all the targets have a bit lower VDI than coins, and everything is deep, I'm guessing the site was detected back in the 70s or 80s. I actually remember someone detecting the adjacent field in the 80s. I bet they got all the screaming coppers.

I'm starting to pick up a few relics but nothing like that pile. Nice finds. The picture with the church in it is great. WD
