Trime Time

Found this 1851 Trime and a plain flat button at one of my permissions. Buddy found a confederate pewter block I and an 1839 dime and my other buddy found an 1818 large cent, Navy cuff button and a nice civilian button. Sorry, I don't have pictures of my buddie's finds.

We have been hunting this site for about five years now. We are allowed on it after the end of Deer season until it is planted. That is about two or three months out of the year.

Four of us went back to the same spot yesterday and the best find was a 1907 Indian Head penny!

Went back again and found a eagle A coat button with a W H Smith & Co/ New York rmdc backmark, a cuff size Navy with what I think is a Scovill backmark and this little engraved piece that may read "Sturges" but I am not sure. Another A button was found by my buddy. Any ideas on this piece are appreciated.

We went back again and my only find was the front to an eagle staff officers button. It was bent to the shape of a football but still had the paper seal in it.
