I hit a small construction site about a mile for my house friday for about an hour and made a couple of nice finds. The first one is this shield nickel, I think it's a pretty good date and in real nice shape for a coin of this type. The next one is a medal from a clothing company that went out of business back in 1894 due to some shading dealings. It has buffalo bill on it . I guess they puit him on it due to his popularity in the late 1800's. I thought it was a pretty neat find. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Nice digs! The nickels I dig from the 1970's are usually in much worse shape than yours from 1872!

Love those Shield Nickels :clapping: Nice shape and a good date, but you missed the low mintage one by a year (1871) Yours has 6 million minted. Really clear looking nickel. The medal is very nice. It was a good hunt. :happydance01:
