Silver and gold

My buddy took me to a well hunted site this afternoon, but I managed to pull three good finds in the 4 hours we were there. About 5 minutes after we got there I found a 1789 half real, then about 20 minutes later I got the 1838 dime.About 30 minutes before we quit I found the small cuff link or pendant. I think it might be gold.
The dime is one of the nicest ones I have found.

Wow, three bucket list finds in one hunt! :shocked04:

That seated dime is spectacular! First year of that variety with the stars on the obverse, and it's in terrific shape! :loveit:

Spanish silver from the 1700s is nothing to sneeze at either!

That gold item is interesting. It does appear to be solid gold. I would guess that's a cufflink due to the small size.

Congrats on the amazing day!

Amazing finds! That seated is really awesome-first year with stars, large star variety. I'm guessing the relic is gold judging by the color and lack of corrosion. The Reale is also a rare find, and something I'll likely never see here in the Midwest. Congrats!

We went back today for 3 hours and I didn't find anything! Thanks for the replies. The pictures are just as they came out of the dirt. I haven't cleaned them yet.

Not really. It just seems that every time this soil is turned we find something. One of my hunting buddies found a 1786 half reale in the same spot about three weeks ago. Right now the hunting is pretty hard because the field is in corn stubble.
