Last week you may remember me posting about a silver Pendant with an Amber stone in it that I found near the fairgrounds. Well, I just didn't have the heart to make it scrap silver so I took it to my jeweler and he cleaned it up good. I think this is a beautiful piece of jewelry and my daughter is going to have a nice extra Christmas gift this year.

That is jus' the coolest thing. :smitten:
Might wanna take her to a jewelry store to pick out a chain (without tellin' her about the dangler). ;)

Man that cleaned up really nice! Funny how the wives and daughters end up with all the nice finds!

I think it has a lot to do with whether you're from Venus or Mars, Steve (...and I'm assumin' you're from Mars... with wife & kids?).

Man that jeweler did a great job on that pendant. Not only did he polish up the silver, but he was able to buff out the amber piece very nicely. Now your daughter can walk around school with 10,000 year old bugs around her neck lol lol Kinda cool if you ask me thumbsup01

Wow! Look's like you made the choice when you decided to take it to the jeweler. The piece turned out great!

Ya, the jeweler is a good one... and only cost $10 to clean it up and add a new bale..
Funny thing is , when it was all dirty and nasty my wife thought it was an interesting find & it would be nice for my daughter, but now that its all shined up, she's been eyeing it good.. lol

I think that's tremendous, and a fabulous idea.

I wouldn't take her to a jeweler to pick out a chain, though....
I'd bring the piece in and pick out a sterling silver chain for it, then have it boxed.
But that's just my 2 cents.

Awesomely sweet gift.

Very nice indeed! What's inside the amber?

Very nice indeed! What's inside the amber?

From what I can tell, it looks like mostly little seeds of some sort.. but there is one thing in there that looks likes it has legs..
