View Full Version : Excel template for V3i Programs

Here's an Excel template you can use to track your library of V3i programs. It closely follows the V3i menu layout so it should be pretty easy to follow. Tooltip messages provide an explanation of each setting. When possible, I've used drop-down menus with valid choices for that setting. Where there is a range of possible values, values are restricted to the valid range (e.g. tones are valid from 0 to 255.

As a demonstration, I've included settings for the stock Coin & Jewelry program. I filled in only those settings available in the default. If one likes to bounce around between settings while searching, the remaining fields can also be filled out. For example, if you bounce around search audio between Discrimination and Stereo Mixed, you can enter you preferences for both and set the Search Audio field to the one you prefer most often.

You can cut and paste cells like you would would with any spreadsheet. This makes it easily create a new program from an existing by copying common settings. You could say create a program for say the 10 coil, copy it, and then tailor the copy for the 4x6 coil (like changing the speed and filter). I've used sheet protection to protect accidental deletion of the setting names and such. With protection on, you can't cut and paste an entire column (just blocks between the gray cells. However, you can easily remove the protection and copy entire columns as I did not use a password.

I posted an earlier version of this on the White's forum. The moderators deleted it :bangahead01: fearing I might be out to spread viruses or distribute pornography (not literally but that is the message I walked away with). Yah, right, that's all I want to do after spending $1500 one of their machines. For those of you who saw this on the Whites forum, I did not include the Fox programs as they are not mine to distribute. Differences between this and the earlier version include

the protection discussed above,
added a setting for the coil selection,
added two tabs that go with the first, one to record custom VDI discrimination settings and the other for custom VDI tones. The program name is automatically carried to these supporting tabs.
some small formatting changes (you probably won't notice).

I also include templates for both Excel 2003 and 2007. Just pick the one you prefer (there is no big differences).

I confirmed with the moderators here that posting this is acceptable so you shouldn't have to worry about it getting removed anytime soon.

BTW, I do run virus scan software and this file is clean up to the latest McAfee virus definitions as of this date.
