It was in the 30's and I met my brother at a new woods spot by a local little league diamond which covers quite an area, we basically went walking through about half of it just scouting around with our detectors, there's a good spot in it if I wanted to dig some bottles and some of the glass looked old too. By the looks of the old shotgun shells and the old rifle ring that holds the stock and barrel together on a rifle I'd say there's a good possibility there's some older coins it it somewhere. I thought the old rifle ring was kinda neat.

That Climax shell dates between 1864 and 1926. I bet some silver was dropped with those shells thumbsup01. Good luck!

I don't mind the cold, but all the snow here on Long Island makes it impossible to hunt. Tried the woods behimd my house today , at least 10 inches of snow :bangahead01:.
