I found this little Yale lock a couple years back at a spot out in Battle Creek my brother and I nicknamed the trash pit (it's still producing finds too) and I made a blank from a piece of steel and used lampblack and jewelers files to file it. I'm on a roll opening all these locks that I've found metal detecting, now all I have to do is make me up a blank for my Wilson Bohannan RR lock, that will prove to be a challenge, time to get the dremel in action :)

Cool lock.

The key thing must be a trick you learned back in the days.. uh huh..

I got some lock pick tools here somewhere.... from back in the days when I was running the towing business - have unlocked many many car doors. (not talking about the slim jim/wire set, but gone one of those too)

very nice lock Larry , the soil was very kind to it and the fact you could get the levers to move is :shocked04:

That's why I really like finding the ones that are entirely brass cause they don't rust and don't freeze up near as bad as the ones that have an iron shackle or iron springs in the lock. Besides that the ones that are entirely brass are usually the really old ones.
