56 of snow so far this year. Since 1870 when they started keeping records, this is the 6th snowiest winter recorded. And they are saying possibly another foot Wednesday of next week!

Hi My Fellow TH'ers
We have all of 11 inches yesterday. It took me five hours to get home on the commuter bus from DC to Sterling, VA. I only live 30 miles NW of DC. Lots of non-drivers out on the road. Wish I had my camera with me last night as there were cars everywhere, some with people in them that were stuck some were abandoned, others were off the road with their tires spinning as if that would help. The worst part was of the thirty snow plows that I did see only two were actually plowing! Some of the plows were parked on the side of the roads as if they were waiting for their shifts to be over so they could go home or something. Our bus got stuck on the small hill at the bottom of our parking lot for almost a half hour. It was amazing to see how some just could not drive in snow. I do realize that having started driving in SW Missouri, and then driving in Germany so I do have a bit of an edge over some people but man it was wild. It took me an hour to go four and a half miles.
Yes I have resolved that there will only be TH'ing for me on Saturday in my head! This snow will be around for a while. Maybe next Saturday it will have melted away! Wishful thinking anyway. LOL
For those of you that are able to get out and do some digging I wish you well. For the rest of us all I can say is we can't dig it up this weekend but no one else can either. It will still be there next Saturday.

PS: Remember; Don't leave it in the ground!

It's nothing like that here in KY but everyone is complaining anyway lol They have no perspective lol Still, we do have a few inches which really wreaks havok on the roads around here since snowplows are unheard of (or at least I've never seen one since moving here).

It might be a long February. :(

Thats because I took up metal detecting and found a hobby I could enjoy in the winter lol. I don't remember snow like this since I was a kid. The bright side: with so much time to do research I have 2 pages worth of sites to hit <:.

That's a lot of snow. Forecasting 70 here tomorrow. 70 degrees. I do not regret moving further south. Except in the summer months.

You'll sure have some moist ground when all that snow melts, we all need a good thaw, one that'll thaw the ground too would be just fine with me.
