Marco polo

How is this game played and what are the rules? I saw some show on tv and the kids were playing it in a swimming pool. I don't get it. :crazy: :dontknow:
 
I never paid much attention when they were playing it in a swimming area, I just know that I was usually out detecting in deeper water and ever now and then one of them would say marco polo. Heck I never knew it was a game but I hear kids yellin it all the time in swimming areas.
 
It's a game you play in the water. It's kinda like a blind tag.
The person who's it can't open their eyes. So the person who's it calls out Marco and everyone playing has to yell out polo every time the it calls out Marco . Then the person who's it has to try and tag one of the others with out opening there eyes. So you have to try and find another player with out opening your eyes.

OK, I got the jist of it . <: Now why is it called Marco Polo? :confused: :interesting: That is assuming I am typing the correct name :thinkingabout:
