A note of interest concerning the Tootsie Toy Race Car pictured here is that I lost it in the backyard of my family home somewhere between 59 and 62 years ago (I guess what goes around comes around). I found it buried in the backyard on January 30, 2011. I am the only child that has lived in that house since 1950 (I lived there with my mother and father from 1948 through 1950). So, I must conclude that I was the one who lost it. The era for this car is correct. The home where I found this car has been in the family for around 100 years, and is still occupied by my dad.

Here's the red firetruck I found a few days ago, there's a video and other pics on the post in relic finds. I gave it a nice paint job and put an insert in the pic from the video right after I found it.

Dug this beauty at about 4 or 5 next to my mom's flowerbed, the house where I grew up :) I found it a year ago and was shocked to see it was a collector's item between $1600-$1800k in mint condition  My husband Tom said perhaps this is one time we should invest in some bodywork and a paint job...

We cracked up- thinking about taking it to a body shop and seeing reaction from the clerk lol
