forum and just getting interested in metal detecting. Will be trying to decide what detector would be best for me. I have a friend, who is a member here, that has kinda got my interest up with the hobby and will be going with him. I have cerebral palsy and will have to have a light weight detector but want one that has good depth. I look forward to checking out this whole forum and seeing the awesome finds everyone is making.

hello Hicky and welcome to the forum , Tesoro's are some of the lightest detectors made and are very capable machines and with lifetime warranties . they would be a great choice of detector to consider .

Hey Hicky !!
 Welcome to the forum from the frozen corn fields of Illinois!! :frozen:
I think Del is right on with the Tesoro .
I've never used one but I've heard alot of good things about them
The White's Prizm models and the Garrett Ace models come to mind also.
Enjoy the forum and don't be hesitant to ask questions

Welcome from the still :frozen: western part of Massachusetts. I have to warn you...this hobby is very addictive lol Once you start to see coins and relics come from the ground, there is no turning back. It is a very exciting hobby. I think the Tesoro is a good choice, as is Garrett's 350 and you may even want to look at the new Coinmaster from Whites. Take your time and find the right machine for you. Can't wait to see what you find :clapping: In the meantime, have a look around and enjoy the forum.
