View Full Version : how do i get rid of this high pitch burst.

hi all, i am getting this high tonal burst and a +95 on the screen of my V. my soil is rough so i disc out vdi's down to 92. on the neg side i disc out from -95 to -2 . accepting -1 to +91. is there an adjustment that i am missing? gain is 10 mostly and disc around 85,am around 70. auto trac on. somebody hep me . hep me .hep me. :grin:. this is getting a little old as it does it in multiple places so i dont think its some kind of emi anomolie(sp)

There are a few things you can try...

1. If you are rejecting +95, Make sure your +95 has a custom tone setting of 0 as well.

2. Setting the Hot Rock Reject to -10 will cause all responses in this range to be ignored and give no response.

3. Raise your filter setting.

Out of curiosity what coil are you using?

setting those vdi's to tone at 0 is a great idea. -95 and +95.. got it. coils /// i have been using the D2 but today i used the 6x10. it chirped but not as bad as the D2. some soil around here is seriously mineralized.lots of minerlized quartz and iron ore..
