Well I made it out Saturday with the TDI to a couple of local play grounds as I did not have the time to travel to the areas for CW relics. It took me some time to get over the thought that taking the TDI Pro to tot lots and such was like taking a 444 squirrel hunting. lol lol lol Now I look at it a little different...like learning the sound of coins....sizing targets...then trying to figure out what I have found before digging. I ended up with a total of $3.31 in clad and found my first two rings this year, both junk and a heart blingy thingy. The TDI was really fun in the play grounds and I will be doing it more often. I did not put the clad in the picture as we all know what clad looks like, besides I dropped it in the change jar without thinking.... My settings were FGEB at noon...CGEB at three...Gain at 6...TC at high for coins and that is where the big ring was found :dontknow: :thinkingabout: Then to go back over areas I had hunted in High I switched into LTC CGEB at 8 all the other settings the same as on high...oh and PD at 10 with the 7.5 dual field coil...and found the small ring and heart thingy there. The weather was absolutely beautiful 45* and warming up fast to 75*.....Thanks for looking. thumbsup01

Nice post on the TDI. You seem to have learned that machine pretty good, because it seemed to work well there. I would be afraid it would pick up the cars parked along the street lol

hey Carl how is the EMI in the parks and schools , does the powerlines automobiles and traffic lights really mess with that machine ?? or can you run it pretty smooth still and get some decent depth.

Sounds like you're doing great with the TDI Pro Carl thumbsup01 I would like trying one of those out at the ole ballpark that I hunt. In a lot of places the clay is only 15 inches down and there's many super old targets just laying on the clay.

I think learning a machine in an easy area like playgrounds or a beach is best before you go out there and deal with the real world of trash. Granted you will still find trash, but less of it and you get to hear and learn your machine pretty well.
