I went back to my new site and worked some more of the picnic area and found four more silvers. The first was a 1940-S Washington, 2nd was a 1934-D Merc, 3rd a 1903-O Barber quarter & last a 1945 Merc. I also found 23 wheat's with several from the teens and twenties. Plus $3.65 in clad. The best part is I've only covered about 5% of the area. I will be back Monday for another 6-7 hour hunt.

From the dates of the coins I would guess it is as early as 1920's. I'm in the process of trying to find more info about the site. There is an old large rock cellar hole next to the picnic grounds and some old sidewalks with steps. I just would like to know what the buildings were used for.
