Hi everybody. A little history on myself. Been detecting for about 4 years now, made WE&T 2008 Best Finds, always looking for detecting spots and partners. Love digging and this hobby is the best thing going. Spent 15 years golfing(now considered a waste of time by me). I have gotten several of my friends involved(they now own detectors). Fortunately I am a empty nester and my wife gets as excited as myself when I go detecting (hummmm) but she always asks upon my return what ya get.
Hope to learn some tips from this forum and meet new friends. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

hello Al , so you are the other man in Rob's life lol lol what was your find in the best of W&ET magazine as i'm real familiar with that 2008 issue . ( my GW button made it on the cover that year)as for golf i agree it can be a waste of time but i still find myself cursing that little white ball from time to time  lol lol

hopefully one of these days we can all get together for a few hunts as we're all very close by. welcome to American Detectorist Al. :beerbuddy:

Russellt, thanks for the welcome, I should have gone and become a member long ago. You are right, a great bunch of detectorists here. Everyday I am thinking of where to go, where I've been(what have I missed), and dreaming of the next big find. I see my shrink on Tuesdays
