The following contest is being sponsored by the forum administrators.

All current American Detectorist members and new members who actively participate in the forum are eligible to submit entries. The American Detectorist staff is ineligible to participate.

The contest starts on April 5th. It will be composed of three stages:

1) Entry Stage - April 5th through April 22nd

2) Finds Stage - April 23rd and until a moderator finds ten silver coins

3) Winners Determined Stage

OBJECTIVE

During the Entry Stage (April 5th through April 22nd), submit a guess as to what you believe will be the combination of types and dates of the first ten silver coins that are found by a moderator during the Finds Stage of the contest.

Guessing which moderator will make ten silver coin finds during the Finds Stage of the contest is not part of the requirement. It will simply be the first moderator to make ten silver coin finds that will determine which lot of coins will be used to select the winners.

Moderator finds will be individually tracked. Moderator finds will not be combined to determine a winner. Only the finds of the first moderator to accumulate ten silver coins during the Finds Stage of the contest will be used to determine the winners.

Only individual coins and coins spills are counted toward the ten coin total; cache finds are excluded. Dateless coins will not count.

The following is an example of how entries should be submitted:

1891 Seated Dime
1910 Barber Dime
1944 Mercury Dime
1944 Mercury Dime
1952 Roosevelt Dime
1964 Roosevelt Dime
1912 Barber Quarter
1928 Standing Liberty Quarter
1945 Washington Quarter
1944 Walking Liberty Half

STAGES

Stage One - Entry Stage

Period during which members submit their guesses. Duplicate dates and coin types are allowed on individual member entries (see above example). The finds do not have to be in the order guessed. Entries will be accepted April 5th through April 22nd. No further guesses will be accepted after this period.

Stage Two - Finds Stage

Period during which finds made by each moderator are tracked and tallied until ten silver coins are found by any one moderator. The Finds Stage starts April 23rd, and will end when a moderator reaches a count of ten silver coins.

Stage Three - Winners Determined

The time when the finds of the first moderator to hit the ten silver coin count will be used to determine the winners.

The member whose submitted entry list of silver coins most closely matches the types and dates of the actual coins found by a moderator will be declared the winner.

There will be three prizes.
