got out with foundationhunter to hit a site next to an open field. a few buttons and 3 coppers. 2 are totally wiped out one i think i can see the line where the date would be below.state copper or King George i'm guessin.never dug a half cent and have been wanting one badly.finally get one and its wasted :crying02: oh well least i know it's a draped bust half cent.these ground conditions are so brutal on these poor old colonial classics crying01

hey sweet day of finds Dave :happydance01: :happydance01: its extremely tough to get a nice copper out of a farm field especially one still being used by the farmer :bangshead02: but at least your copper totals are climbing :cheering: :cheering: how did Gary do  congrats on your first half cent :peace: :peace:

Very nice group of finds today. :clapping: Love the coppers. You are right, the ground is harsh on them.
Looks like an awesome place to hunt.
Congrats Dave and I hope you next ones are in much better shape.

Nice hunt Dave :clapping: Congrats on the 3 coppers. |) Half cents are not easy to find for some reason although you would think they should be  I've got 5 or 6 of them and al least half of them are wiped pretty close to clean :crying02: It's all about location. That field may be hay now but it was fertilized at some point. Still nice to see big coppers come out of the ground thumbsup01
