Well I am at a loss for words. I know that's hard to believe, but sometimes the coins can just speak for themselves. The first Silver of the day was a 1917 Mercury Dime.

Of course digging a coin in this date range put all kinds of thoughts in my head. Five feet away I had another good hit and cut a plug. I stopped breathing, and my heart skipped a beat. The date on the little Mercury Dime was a dream come true...

Missed It By That Much (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxwDuWWsHtI#)

I missed it by that much!!! It was not the D mint mark that I had hopped for, but still a pretty nice semi-key date. The last Silver of the day was another near miss. No mint mark on this one.

If there had been an S mint mark, this would have been anoter semi-key date.

Here are some closeup detailed shots of the days finds....

1913 Barber Dime This one has some great detail and a nice patina.

Along with the Silver I found a few Wheat Pennies, which are always a welcome find.

Well, I am getting Silver Dimes on a regular basis on my hunts. May be one of theses days that 1916D will be waiting for me at the bottom of the hole. Until then I will just...

... Keep Swing'in ;)

Just seeing a mint mark on the back of that dime would have made my blood pressure rise. But after I found out it wasn't a &quot:grin: it would have went through the roof rofl Almost got the big fish  It's out there and odds are you will get one. Sooner than later would be good. lol Very nice dimes though :happydance01:

Thank you all for the positive feedback. I am eagerly awaiting this Saturday to return to the same location to give it another go. This definitely was an exciting hunt for me. Tony, thank you for the nice compliment. I enjoy photography and being able to make it a part of my hunts, just makes it all that much more fun for me. I will keep you posted on this weekends hunt.
