I have been detecting since February & haven't really found much to talk about. I have a Tesoro Cibola metal detector & like it a lot. Seems like I alway find something. Usually scrap metal, pull tabs & a few coins.
I do however collect some silver coins.
Dimes, Quarters, Half Dollars, Silver Dollars & Silver Rounds (1 oz. & 1 lb.)
Hello from NC. :groovy: :groovy: :groovy:

Welcome to American Detectorist Bobby. :clapping: Glad to have you here with us.
Yep, you gotta dig some junk to find the goodies. I have dug more than
my share of junk.
You'll hit some nice silver soon enough.

Hey Bobby, welcome aboard from western Massachusetts. Sounds like you are enjoying yourself with the Tesoro. :clapping: The key to finding good stuff is really just a matter of an older location and a place where lots of people visited. Put those two things together (before another threasure hunter does lol) and you'll have a successful hunt. We don't mind seeing pictures of clad, so don't be shy about posting your hunts. It's getting out and enjoying ourselves that makes a good hunt.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I did get out today for about an hour. A small grassy area in the downtown area. Found lots of targets to dig. 4 pennys (not wheat), Dime (196?), Quarter (1966). Still didn't get all targets dug. I definetly will be going back. The spot goes back into the mid 1800's. Confederate camp was less than a mile from there. Train station close by. Maybe I'll find something special. I'll just keep swinging & digging. Got a little sunburned. I'm a very white, white guy. :white:usaflag::
