Did a solo hunt today

Had the thought that I would try and get some more practice with iron and the E Trac. So I hit a spot that has been good to me where I got my first (and only lol) Nova Constellatio copper. I figured we pounded this place pretty good, so it would be a great place to try and tweak my program. Also has a second cellar hole that was good to Del, so I could just cruise between the two sites if I get bored in the iron pit lol I did get a lot of targets from both places, but really didn't do anything different that I already have been doing, so no real tweaking done to the program :thinkingabout: But I did move a big piece of iron and then got a siganl which turned out to be a pitcher handle made of pewter? I think. That was a big target to be masked. :shocked04: Then hit the second site and it gave up an almost complete pitcher :dontknow: What's up with that lol Nevere found anything like that before and now 2 in one hunt. Both sites gave up an Indian head penny , but Del's site gave up another nice NY Militia @ 1812. These buttons hold up well for some reason. It will clean up nicely. Also brought home a find I made last hunt that looks like a harness steering guide (not sure if that's technically correct, but that's my best guess) lol Also got some leather harness belt that survived all of these years. I figure at least from 1900 or earlier. The pollen was unbelievable today  so I should sleep well tonight. :sleepy: Didn't get a copper, but had some nice finds.

:embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed: I actually didn't really clean it yet. That's just a bit of water to get some dirt from it, for the picture. After my usual relic hunt's ritual of a shower, then the hot tub (to get rid of ticks >:#) I was ready for bed from the 10 hours of pollen eating lol It should have full silver on the front and even some on the back. I'll clean it up later and hopefully have it posted tonight. I felt like Sniffy's side kick Sneezy rofl (man that pollen was a killer this time out)

hey George you did great at those sites and that button alone made for the hike in there worth it , it looks like it may be the best on so far i'm assuming it was in the relative area as your last one .

nice day , just wish i was out there with ya .

Dan

It was in the first pen next to the cellar hole where all of the buttons were coming out from. We did it quickly last time out there. It was in the center strip of the pen going towards the other fields. It was @ 8-9 deep and came in good enough, although not real good lol Here it is cleaned up. A bit rougher on one end then I thought, but still had some silver on the back side.

I've gotta take it easy on poor Dan, he's about to crack lol He hasn't detected in almost 3 weeks :shocked04: No man should be forced to endure that \:hammer: Hopefully you will make your way out here sometime soon and can try and hunt one with us. It can be challenging sometimes.

Once again... beautiful bunch of relics George. <: |)
Love the buttons and IH. The Excelsior cleaned up very, very nicely.
Bummer on the pollen. For me, it's been starting to clean up here the last week or so. <:
Good luck on your next quest. thumbsup01
