I went to a new site this morning. A small, overgrown baseball field in an older neighborhood of Dubuque.
When I arrived, the old trees in the common area immediately caught my attention.
Once I got geared up and machine on, I had to choose which direction to hunt. Old trees or ball field?

I made my way for the trees. About 20 feet in I picked up a few late wheats and then the Rosie.
Next out of the ground were some earlier wheats followed by the Merc. The closer I got to the
trees... the older the coins got. :happydance01: I never did make it over to the ball field. 8/

Four of these IH's were resting comfortably in beautiful black soil. Care to guess which one was in wet clay? lol

The 1883 IH and the German silver coin (same diameter as a US nickel) were in the same hole.

... Question: How many of you count foreign silver coins as part of your silver count for the year? :thinkingabout: lol

Very sweet hunt, that ballpark can wait. If I were to ever dig a nice old foreign silver like you have, yes I would count it. Congrats on the silvers, IH. I'm gonna take a stab at your question, bottom right IH.

The rule is if it's silver you have to count it. thumbsup01 Way to go on some nice finds. :clapping:

Looks like you found a nice new spot! Congrats on those finds, that German coin is very, very nice and early. Germany was not formed from the German States until 1871. Awesome hunt and good luck this week!

It's tough to read, but in perfect light 1902 is what I see.
