Returned the High School ring I found last month. Felt great to see the smiles on the happy parents and the student who lost it. Nice family. I accepted no reward. My reward was seeing the happiness this items return initiated. This was my first return of a lost item and i hope its not my last. Thanks for looking.

Very Nicely done! The picture says it all. This is the kind of thing that will bring you good karma, and blessings from the metal detecting gods.

Outstanding job...Looking at the young mans face just says it all. I know the feeling you experienced and their is nothing like it. Again another detectorists does the right thing and our hobby/sport gets a boost in the non-detecting publics eye. Thank you

Great job :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: I think most people are stunned that someone found their lost item, and then did the work to find them and return it to them. :shocked04: :shocked04: Well done. The picture shows that the effort is worth more than the small amount you would have received for the metal value. Did he ever tell you how he lost it ??

The young man is named Jason and he played football in high school and ran track. He lost the ring the weekend he graduated playing football with his friends. They looked for it for 3 days from what I could gather. It was a win-win situation for everyone and they told me I could detect their home anytime I wanted if someone was at home. The house was built in 1909 so who knows. Thanks for all you nice comments and words of encouragement. :angelic:
