Howdy diggers,

As you know, I have been working an 1850s farmhouse for about a month now. It is a large yard and occupies an entire city block. This place has been very good to me (it has given me my first large cent and my first barber half). Today, I was working a side yard I had gone over twice before. I turned up the sensitivity of my e-trac a bit and started swinging really really slow. I got an iffy nickel signal at only 7 inches. It was bouncing 12-13, 13-13, 13-14, etc. I dug down into the rich, black soil and saw a green disk appear. I thought it was going to be a buffalo since it was only 7 inches deep. What a surprise when I saw the shield! I couldn't read the date because they are very small on the shield nickel. I got it home and cleaned it up just a bit and couldn't believe my eyes, 1868!! WOW!! I tell you diggers, that e-trac is amazing for old coins. Here's a pic and the video will be coming later. Thanks for looking and HH!

a very uncommon coin and because of its low conductivity they are very easily masked and blend in the trash , very sweet find &quot:grin:cheesysmile: its in very decent shape to :happydance01: :happydance01:
