Today was thinkin where to go.....decided to go back up to a cellar hole that me,b.mattioli and forino went to 2 years ago.targets were sparce there 2 yrs ago but i had a feeling it still held some goodies somewhere.worked it slow.
got a few flat buttons,a Zouvae ball button,a hunting livery button (backmark WOLCOTTVILLE)
and last target was a 1858 flying eagle penny.last time i dug one was over 20 yrs ago so,it was a sight for sore eyes.
finally got up the courage to ask this homeowner to search his yard.house was built in 1780 got the green light! had a good feeling about this yard but when all was said and done the yard was filled..a handful of wheaties oldest being 1916-s,a cool mickey mouse spoon and a sterling ring that came out of the hole in 3 pieces :(.his fields around house he couldn't plant corn cuz the fields are muckholes this whole season. i got permission to do the plowed fields when it dries up a bit.

At least that Flying Eagle is in nice shape |) Great looking coin, some nice buttons and probably a very early and collectable spoon thumbsup01 As for the old house? I have found many of them are hard to detect. It takes many visits and some patience to coax the old stuff from them. Nice hunt.

I'd say that Mickey Mouse spoon is from the 1930s based on his look and pose. Nice finds!

Hidy Heavy . Nice finds . I see you got you a bullet or ball button , and the same size as the one I found the first of the year . Most of them are Confe . And your botton looks like it has been hit by a small bullet or buck shot , more than likely . Those are some good finds . Good luck and be carfull in this HEAT. Too hot for me now . Your friend in N.W. Ten. Earl .
