Just wondered if anyone out there still uses a 1266 ? I do, been using it for about 16 years now, my main machine. Can't imagine digging more than I am. Steve in so az

No, but my main (and only) machine from 1987-1999 was a Fisher 1260-X and I absolutely loved that machine! Back in the early 1980s I had a White's 5000-D and my hunting buddy had a Fisher 1260-X. Although we both had quite a bit of experience, he was finding a lot more than I was! He ended up selling me his Fisher 1260-X so he could buy a 1265-X. Using the Fisher machine I immediately started finding many more old coins than I did with the White's.

I love my E-Trac but I sure do miss that old Fisher 1260-X. I had many, many successful hunts with it.

I had that 5000D when it first came out. That was the worst machine ever lol That is the price we paid for the introduction of this new feature called discrimination :thinkingabout: My old coin count was almost non existent, but my clad count jumped quite a bit (minus nickels). rofl
