View Full Version : CELLAR HOLES WITH SNIFFY*LARGE SILVER*CW BUTTON & A COPPER?

Got out with the ole sniffster again.hit a bunch of cellar holes in his neck of the woods.
1st site gave up a civil war general service button,2nd site got the large tombac,a site or 2 later i got a nice iffy signal(iron in hole with it) out pops a big silver! a nice shape 1915-D Barber half full liberty on headband.last site i got a copper! <;) umm its real close to the cut off date of our american large cents and i gotta ask the :poke: dynamic duo :poke: if it can count? 1859 canadian LC

yeah it was Dan especialy considering how hammered this site was.i think the nail in the hole with it ..made whoever walked over this signal pass it off as junk :thinkingabout:

come on we broke the rules and let you have one count a few years ago , even though we did tell you at the time that those are no.1 a bronze coin and no.2 that the coppers end with the last year of 1857 (last year of the large cent). now if you want to add the bronze Victorian half and whole pennies to the compitition you have to make that clear at the begining of the year. :callme: :callme: :grin:

for the record George looks much better in a skirt than i . lol rofl rofl

yeah i know Dan i was just goofin around.i figured this may have fallen under the granfather clause in the coppa rule book.

Great finds, and I glad that you found the Barber and not me. I would have had the big one right there on the spot. On the other hand I would already have dug the hole. :white:usaflag:: Congrats on some Awsome finds.

That Barber Half is mind blowing! Wow, just gorgeous! It truly is in beautiful condition and has great detail. I have found several Walkers but never a Barber Half.

Congrats on the super hunt!
