Got out with Rob on Sunday and found this button. Hope the pictures come out OK. The fron looks blank but the back has on the bottom has TREBLE GILT and at the top it has a crown with a star on each side.

I am not a button guy so anybody in the know (age, origin) pleae chime in.

I am hoping British because of the crown but what do I know.

Thanks for reading and keep diggin

It is probably a flat button. Is it the size of a nickle, quarter or larger? We did get a lot of British buttons sent here until we could establish our own manufacturers. Generally 1820 and earlier. Try them pics again and see if they work.

you may have to resize the pictures (make samller) to get them to upload

Thanks for the ideas on getting these pictures uploaded. I have never had to resize my photos in the past. When I have the pictures all set to go I hit the save button, and I see the progress being made of the upload, it gets to 100 percent then just sits there....forever

yaaa hooo :happydance01: way to go Al , now Rob has to take back all those old adjectives he used to describe your desposition Al. \:hammer: \:hammer: lol lol

the button looks like a very early one pre 1820 i'd say.

Heavymetalnut and Del, thanks for the input and I will go back to that area, gotta be a LC hangin around somewhere. Rob can say whatever he wants to about us aged ones and technology cause I had a big laugh Sunday when he couldn't answer his new phone.

Alas young man, someday when I deem you are worthy I will pass on the wisdom and knowledge that will enable you to get thru life. You shall become enlightened but you must first prove your worth.
