Thanks for the Honor. It is too bad I didn't know what I had when I first found it. ( I thought it was an odd wedding ring) Thanks Dan (del) for the info. I can't say that I did anything special to find it, other than just getting out there and detecting. I am very fortunate to live in an area that has so much history. Between this and my tree-coin, this year will be one to remember.

Thanks again, Dan

Well-deserved in my opinion! Such a historic and unique item, no one will ever find one exactly like it. It's a special find that really makes you wonder about the story behind it. Spectacular ring!

Congrats, Dan! :clapping:

That is one heck of a find Dan |) The history and meaning behind that find would have been lost if it had not been for you finding it. A truely great find and I'm happy to call that, the find of the month :clapping: you are having a stellar year :perfect10:

Congrats on this award. That ring is truly amazing. I, for one, without reading the post about it would have never known that it was a mourning ring. Never to old to learn. Fantastic find.

Yes, congratulations on a really great find. I find historical items simply fascinating but this one just rises to top. It's a Super Bowl win, a World Series triumph. The only thing now is to go to Disney World.
