Late in the day I took a drive to detect at a small site that is located at a nearby town. It is one I had often passed whenever I had been in the area on my way to another location. I had been putting off detecting at the site since it is located on a very busy street, but I was curious to see what may be found there and so decided to ignore the inevitable gawking. lol

Once I was at the small square I noticed that someone had beaten me to it, as there were telltale plugs throughout. >:{ But there had to be something for me to find, so I turned on my machine and began to work. Long story short, after a couple of hours I left the place with a few keepers. :happydance01:

One of the two silver dimes I dug up, a 1905 Barber dime.

The coins the site yielded - two silver dimes, three Indian Head cents, and four wheat cents. The Indian Head cents I found today bring my total for the year to 144, one short of my total of 145 I found during all of last year. :peace:

Great coinage Angel , you've been finding some pretty old Merc's with a lot of meat on them (dropped when they were still babies I would guess).Never saw a Naval button quite like that one before , I wonder if it's one of the rarer varieties ? Nice hunt . thumbsup01 thumbsup01

Nice all around hunt...a little of this, a little of that :clapping: At least you know the place is old enough for Barbers (Or maybe even that 16D Merc lol)
