Before they banned owning gold coins it was legal to turn paper dollars in for gold coins so it is possible a mint employee swapped his paper dollars for those gold coins and put them away for the future. :thinkingabout:

Don't know what to say, I personally feel the family should have been able to keep them. Could this happen to silver coins:huh::huh:thinkingabout:?
