What I Remember

On a day and in a time
Memories come to mind
Where we were, and how it came
The news, the world's forever changed
What was once so very far away
Was now at home that September day
And as we watched the towers burn
Fear became a lesson learned
When the towers came crashing down
So went our pride falling to the ground
But something else we learned that day
As so many did display
Strength and courage can be found within
Even as we face a scene so grim
Yet still we cry for those now gone
For those left behind, left alone
The wounds' still fresh upon our soul
Bitter tears flow beyond control
Maybe one day the memory fades
As other news the headlines parade
But I saw the dying buildings, the blackened sky
I'll not forget, not till the day I die[attachimg=1]

Continued prayers for the lost lives, the family and friends of those who died, to the many rescue members who braved the streets, dust and rubble and to all the soldiers who left their families to fight overseas.
GOD BLESS THEM ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing that. Such a horrible, horrible time crying01 I was on vacation at Wrightsville Beach, NC on that awful day. It seems like just yesterday. My friends and I spent most of that time staring at t.v. in disbelief. It seemed someone was always wiping away some tears.
