frequency

Since most detectors operate on different frequencies, has anyone out there bought a detector just for the freq it operates on. My reason for asking is,some savvy detectorist may have figured out what freq seems to get the best finds consistenly

I do a lot of detecting around old gold mines in the desert. The higher the frequency, the more sensitive the detector is to gold.

I bought my Gold Bug II because it operates on 71kHz.
