I never had a problem with hunting as long as it was done for food and the other parts were utilized. After all we all eat chicken and beef, etc... and it's the same process (just hidden). I hate hunting just for the sport of it.

Coinnut I agree 100%, we drove out with a big cooler and brought back the meat to butcher ourselves. We had quite a bit of cutting as my brother tagged one buck , one doe , and one antelope and my cousin had 3 animals himself. 7 animals were processed and shared with family and friends. My kids and I will eat it but my wife won't touch it. If only she saw, like you were saying, where and how our beef and chickens are raise and butchered!!

I had to re-post this one since I didn't look closely enough at the photo the first time I did so, and I told everyone I was swinging an E-Trac lol

This photo was taken last spring when I was using the V3. It was a fun park, and I was sure I was going to find gold with the V3 but the coil didn't pass over any.

This year my goal is to find some good parks here in KY :)

This is my eight year old daughter using the DFX (or rather, me using the DFX while she wears the headphones). She loves it :)

HH!

lol I caught that earlier... someone teased you about it didn't they? I'm glad you have kids too Angie- she's a cutey! Is she your one and only?

We should hunt some parks together this spring/summer... Woodland, Jacobson and Shillito in Lexington have been around a loooong time... I haven't been able to hunt much in them because my boys are so young and always with me- but I found lots of clad in the playgrounds imagine that

I do have kids... three, actually. My two oldest, both boys, are 15 and 13 but I haven't been able to interest them in detecting :)

It would be great to hit some parks this spring and summer. I have noticed that there are some very old parks in Lex, although I haven't hit any of the Fayette County areas yet.

Howdy Folks!
Here is one of my favorite photos taken at Buckskin Joe. It is a reconstructed town dating circa 1880's or thereabouts. Buildings were taken from ghost towns all over Colorado and brought to the site near the Royal Gorge and rebuilt.

Buckskin Joe has been used as a movie location for such notable films as Charles Bronson's White Buffalo, John Wayne's 'The Cowboys', and others like Cat Balou, the Sacketts, and Cannibal the Musical (a little known film by South Park guys Trey Parker and Matt Stone).

I got permission to use the site for photos during the off season!

Blessings,
M-Taliesin

This is my favorite photo of myself - a self-portrait at WPCD-FM, the radio station I ran for 26 years (before retiring in 2007).

I took the picture with a tiny Aiptek 1.3 Megapixels resolution camera that had a self-timer.

The shirt says &quot:beerbuddy:en Davis, my high school (http://BDHS65.com), in Indianapolis.

Hi everyone,

Here's one of me from a few years back... It was taken at the Arkansas Miata Club's 3 Mountain Tour event. My wife and I drove up from Dallas for 2 days of scenic driving with the club.

What a FUN event! They do a drive every fall through some beautiful parts of Arkansas so you can see the fall colors with the top down. :)

If you've never driven a Miata, you should try it sometime. They have been called a lot of things (hairdresser's car, etc...) but WOW are they fun to drive! (And the are RWD, or right wheel drive and not FWD... plus they corner like a demon.)

Howdy Folks!
Thanks RazR, I needed a good chuckle this morning to get my day started right!
That's funny right there, I don't care who ya are, that's funny.

Meanwhile, I thought about sending Obama that photo and ask him if I can have permission to hunt the lawn there. While I appreciate his thinking of us all, I'm content to work my own stimulus plan and happy to go get it myself!

Do you think I could get permission from the residents to hunt that property?
Has anybody ever really tried asking?
Suppose if I were to ask, I'd be receiving a vist from Homeland Security, the NSA, the FBI, and a whole lot of other folks interested to know why I'd dare asking to hunt that particular chunk of property.

But then again, maybe I'd get permission and even get the opportunity to visit Camp David and give that a look too! Guess ya never know if ya never ask!

Blessings,
M-Taliesin

Hi from the Wisconsin Lockman. I'm out giving a metal detecting demonstration at the Duck Splash during Pure Water Days in Chippewa Falls, WI. We are at the Irvine Park.

Welcome to the forum, Wisconsin Lockman! Glad to have you here! It seems like we have several members from Wisconsin. I travel there on a fairly regular basis and always see lots of sites that look great for detecting! Beautiful country up there.

Best of luck with your hunts! :beerbuddy:

Thanks Tony...I'm looking forward to being on the forum. How do I add the little info at the bottom like you have? I'm sure I can figure it out but it will be faster if you tell me. :-)

Hey, the maintenance schedule is expensive! :hystericallaugh: In my defense, the Gallardo is Gotham and I got to drive the F430 GT3. But it won't help my case to mention the other car so I won't  . At least you didn't follow my co-workers and try to call me Rick Grimes, or tell me from the last pic I looked like McConaughey in his latest movie. :eyebrow: It doesn't work if I mention it first...
