Yesterday it was a non gold fake diamond ring!
Today i dug up $1.62 which included two mercury dimes.
A 1918 and a 1916. Without any D's.
The 1918 without a D didn't bother me too much.
But that darn 1916 might just cooperate just this one time. lol

Here's pics of two worn out ladies.......

Those are two very nice old Mercs, even without mint marks! I have found over 120 Mercs and I've yet to dig a 1916 of any kind. (I have found several 1917s though!)

Hey, if 1916-D Mercs were easy to find it would take the thrill out of the chase. :yes:

Two early Mercs will make for a fun hunt any day in my book!

Ohhhh...so close. Congrats on a great hunt. Do you feel that sometimes the MD'ing gods are playing with you:huh: Two very nice early mercs would make my day..

great finds , i know the feeling , heres one of my 1916 mercs , i found maybe 5 1916 mercs,, great one , but alas no mint.

That one is in great shape Dave! But, yeah 22 million 1916's and only thousands of 1916 D's minted will make it harder to get the good ones.

I hear ya. I just found a 1916 (very worn) last time out, but no mint mark. crying01 :crying02: 8/ >:{
